Justin Zumwalt – Ph.D., NRP
Hello! My name is Justin Zumwalt, and I am a Nationally Registered Paramedic (NRP) and Emergency Medical Services Educator. I have been a paramedic for 20+ years, and I started teaching EMS-related content in 2009. Currently, I am not clinically involved in EMS, but I do adjunct instruct for Tulsa Technology Center in their EMS department. My paramedic education is from Tulsa Technology Center, and my collegiate studies are from Oklahoma State University, where I have an undergraduate degree in biology, a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, focusing on Leadership and Entrepreneurship, and a doctorate in Education with a focus on Learning, Instructional Design, and Educational Technologies.
My focus in EMS and EMS education is primarily on the medical side of practice. Most people probably know me best for my 3-lead and 12-lead ECG interpretation classes. In recent years, my focus has shifted to the humanities side of EMS. Take a look at my blog to see my thoughts on EMS and education.
